Prof. Nickolay Petrov — member of the BMDJ Editorial Board — was appointed Head of Bulgaria’s Military Medical Academy.

Since 2009 Prof. Petrov is President of the Bulgarian Society of Anesthesiologists.

With a Decree of The President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Prof. Petrov was also promoted to the rank of General.
